I saw this post on Darque Dreamer Reads MONTHS ago. I don’t think she tagged me, but I liked it so much that I bookmarked it. There are so many PRETTY covers out there, and I just want to share them with you all! Then I can go awkwardly hug all my books… Because that’s not weird…
Rules
- Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
- Mention Tiana @ The Book Raven as the awesome) creator of this book tag!
- Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
- At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy 😉
- List the rules
“No Ideas But in Things”
A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it
The cover designer completely nailed this one. I love the color, I love this pose from Evelyn. This cover caught my eye and then the writing caught my heart.
“Dark and Lovely”
A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up:
I don’t like creepy covers, at all. This is as creepy as I go, thank you very much.
“Sugary Sweet”
A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug:
Seriously, how pretty but also adorable is this cover?! And the book was just as fluffy and adorable and amazing!
“The Simple Aesthetic”
A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design:
I love how the cover artist was able to really capture the spirit of the novel while still keeping everything so simple. Rainbow Rowell loves the design so much that the special edition paperback will be KEEPING the cover art!
“Cover Envy”
A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet:
Honestly, I love this cover SOOOOO MUCH that I’m worried I’m going to enjoy the cover more than the book…
“Traveling Abroad”
A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own:
There were so many amazing choices for this theme! But I ended up choosing Next Year in Havana because I love the colors, and I love love LOVE the dress. I kind of wish I hadn’t given this one to my mom, because I definitely want this gorgeousness on my shelves!
“The Color Wheel”
A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors:
My favorite colors are purple and blue. That aside, this cover is AMAZING. Sadly I didn’t like the book, but I could look at this cover all day.
“Switching Gears”
A cover change you absolutely adore:
Ugh, seriously, the original was SO AWFUL, and the new one is gorgeous.
“Oldie but Goodie”
A favorite cover of your favorite classic:
I actually never love Pride and Prejudice covers, because they typically feature art from that era, and it’s one of my least favorite periods. But this is the one I like best off my own shelf. My brother gave it to me as a gift, and it’s a really nice edition. I especially love the slim-ness of the volume, though it still has a nice weight to it.
“And the Winner is…”
Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?
Seriously, RUDE! How am I supposed to pick? They’re all completely different! Instead I’m just going to share another cover I love, k? :*
This cover is so atmospheric, a perfect compliment to the atmospheric writing inside! I’m so in love with The Winternight Trilogy, and if you haven’t read it yet you should!
Tagging:
- Gemma @ Book Beach Bunny
- Lorryn @ Reading Parental
- Sophie @ Beware of the Reader
- Melanie @ Mel to the Any
- Naty @ Naty’s Bookshelf
No pressure, I tagged people I thought might like this tag, so ignore away if you don’t! And, of course, if I didn’t tag you and you DO like, tag yourself! Love you guys!
What is one of your favorite book covers? Let me know in the comments!
I have the same thoughts about Enchantée is you that I’m gonna like the cover more than the story. I’ve seen some early reviews and they seem to be mixed. I do love historical fiction.

Mixed reviews make me so nervous, especially when they’re vague.

Oh what a fun tag! I’ve been thinking a lot about books as art in and of themselves so thanks for the tag. 🙂

Geekerella’s cover is just perfect! adorable and very fitting to the book. I also like that the cover artwork extends to the back, I didn’t realize for the longest time, haha.

I love when cover art wraps around! It’s a) always such a nice surprise and b) makes for staring at your book during meetings a lot more interesting.
