Alright ladies and gents! School is starting, it’s still 100 degrees outside, marching band is in full swing, and I don’t know about anyone else but I am ready to start thinking about FALL. I’m so ready for football and sweaters.
So with exactly zero ado, our September theme is…

Talk Like a Pirate Day
Favorite Book About Pirates

YOU GUYS! PIRATES!!!! I am so excited for this theme because *whispers* I’m not 100% sure I’ve actually read a book about pirates*. BUT! I’m here for your suggestions so I can fix this egregious error. Also, now seems like as good a time as any to remind you all that Erin Morgenstern’s new book is apparently about pirates! Or has pirates in it, maybe… Regardless, it needs to get here SOON please!
*It’s okay, calm down, I’ve just remembered that I have. Whew.
Please take a moment to vote for our October theme. Love you guys!

Calendar Girls is a monthly blog event created by Melanie at MNBernard Books, and Flavia at Flavia the Bibliophile, and is now be hosted by me (!), Katie, and Adrienne at Darque Dreamer Reads. It is designed to ignite bookish discussions among readers, and was inspired by the 1961 Neil Sedaka song, Calendar Girl.Paragraph
Just like the song, each month has a different theme. Each blogger picks their favorite book from the theme, and on the first Monday of the month reveals their pick in a Calendar Girls post. Make sure to post back to the hostess’s post, and I will make a master list for the month. The master lists allow everyone to see the other Calendar Girls’ picks and to pop on over to their blogs. Thus, we all get to chat about books and even make some new friends!
I have never read pirates book so.. I will pass!

I don’t think I’ve read a book about pirates either! Shows and movies yes but maybe now’s a good time to finally read Treasure Island 🙂

Treasure Island was the one I remember I *have* read. For the record, the book I want to write (but probably never will) features pirates.
