New Year, Back to Blogging

(I hope…)

It’s 2020!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, you guys, I am SO EXCITED for this year. Good things are coming, I can just feel it. I’ve still got a lot of things going on, but the end is in sight, and good things are already happening for me.

So. I haven’t been around much. As I was making my 2019 in Review post, I had to go through and look at what I’ve actually written since August, and it is literally nothing but reviews. Which is fine, reviews are why I got into blogging in the first place! But I think we can all agree that there are lots more fun posts out there that we want to write and read.

In addition, I have NOT been reading y’all’s posts. It breaks my heart. Truly. My tbr has also suffered. It’s down below 80, if you can believe it. Unheard of. Unfortunately that is likely to continue at least for five more months as I finish my last semester of classes. But starting this summer I fully intend to be BACK! I want to read, comment, like, subscribe, ALL THE THINGS! Find new blogging friends that I’ve been missing because I have my head in the sand. It’s going to be so fun!

But even sooner (starting right this very moment, in fact), I want to bring good content back. I’m done with the worst job in the history of the world, so even with classes my creative energy should start coming back soon. I’ve already got ideas for month-long “event” type things I want to do, several lists started in my drafts, and hopefully some ideas for discussion posts will show up in my brain soon.

All that to say, I want to start writing three full posts EVERY WEEK! *gasp* It’s a lot, and I don’t know that I’m going to be successful every week, but that is my 2020 New Year Blogolution.

So here it is, better than ever, my blogging schedule!

Tuesday: Book Review
Thursday: Discussion
Sunday: List/Event/Tag/Random Stuff

In addition, Wednesday might occasionally contain bonus reviews if I read more than 50 books again this year. Also, if you all are interested, as a children’s librarian I hope to read a lot of Middle-Grade literature this year, which I could review on Wednesday. Let me know if that’s something you would want to read.

Again, I’m so excited about the new year. Those of you who pray, keep praying for my family as we continue to look for a new house so I can move closer to my new job. In particular, prayers for my five-year-old would be appreciated. It’s going to be a big transition for him.

So, on we go! 2020 is going to be a GREAT YEAR.

  1. I definitely say yes to Middle Grade reviews. I host a reading event in March called Middle Grade March and I mostly focus on reading and reviewing MG books through the whole month…you know, if you have the time to join in (if you want, anyway).

  2. Happy new year and welcome back!! Excited to see your new posts. Mine have been almost exclusively reviews & weekly wrap ups as well for the past months, and hopefully I will get inspired to post more creative stuff too! 🙂 Also congrats on your TBR being below 80 wow!!
