Hey y’all! It’s yearbook time of year! It’s easy for me to feel nostalgic rather than devastated about yearbooks right now, but I know that isn’t the case for high schoolers, especially seniors. But I thought it might be fun to take one of my favorite end-of-year activities from high school and apply it to Harry Potter.
Anyone else love superlatives? I lived for them. They were, hands down, my favorite part of band banquet. I still have my little purple recorder from the third time I was voted the biggest band nerd. I use it as a talking piece at school. Man, I miss those days. *pauses to reflect* If there’s one thing Hogwarts didn’t have but it needed, it’s superlatives.
FRIENDS! I need you to vote!! Pretty please with sugar on top!!!!
I am fighting with twitter, I don’t know why it’s got to show you two dang tweets at a time. Do you best to not vote for things twice while I try fix it. Grr.
Fred Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, Lee Jordan, Luna Lovegood
Oh, all great choices! I don’t know how you’re going to pick, I just it’s a matter of opinion. Good luck to everyone!
Fred & George Weasley, Seamus Finnigan, James Potter, Zacharias Smith
Ooooo, Fred and George vs. James Potter! To be fair, we know James and Sirius were always in trouble, but we don’t know that he was particularly funny… Seamus I don’t know is an intentional class clown, but he’s certainly comic relief in the movie. And Zacharias Smith, I just have a feeling that guy goofs off in class.
Most likely to be Minster of Magic
Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Ernie MacMillan, Draco Malfoy
Okay, so one of these people actually becomes Minister of Magic and the others don’t… Not the point! Ernie certainly has that Percy vibe where he seems very government-y, and Malfoy definitely has the ambition. So many good choices!
Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Sirius Black, Parvati Patil
Again, how do you pick? Everyone knows Serius had GREAT hair when he was at school, and Ginny, obviously. Malfoy … okay, that’s a matter of opinion. But Parvati, she’s always worried about her looks and curling her eyelashes on her wand and crap like that, so she’s bound to spend a bunch of time on her hair, right?
Ron & Hermione, Dumbledore & Grindewald, Hagrid & Maxime, Cedric & Cho
Do Dumbledore and Grindewald actually count, since Grindewald wasn’t a student? Who cares, they’re in. Also, I hope Grindewald was more attractive as a youth because Jonny Depp, eeeesh. Glad to see Ron and Hermione getting some love! Awww, Hagrid & Madame Maxime! CUTE!
Most likely to be caught sleeping in class
Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, Vincent Crabbe, Harry Potter
Crabbe, hee hee. You know, Harry does actually fall asleep during class in book 4… And Ron, he would definitely sleep in class. Aw, poor Neville, he tries so hard!
Harry Potter, Oliver Wood, Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy
Well, two of these people become professional Quidditch players, just throwing that out there. And how much fun, to see rivals Harry and Draco pitted against each other! The drama!
Most likely to go to Azkaban
Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle
Yeah, Crabbe and Goyle are definitely willing to use unforgivable curses and effin FIEND FIRE. I like to think Malfoy reformed, but you never can tell. Ron? He’s bound to do something stupid.
Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Newt Scamander, Ginny Weasley
Awwww, all such great listeners! I wish they were my friends! *sigh*
Most likely to be on the cover of Witch Weekly
Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Fleur Delacour, Ginny Weasley
Harry, obviously. Hermione, brightest witch of her age. Fleur, part veela, gorgeous. Ginny, pretty and a famous Quidditch star. So many famous Hogwartians! (Again, Fleur, not actually from Hogwarts, but WHO CARES?)
