So I was going through my large bookmark folder of book tags, and I noticed that I’ve been tagged for this one not once, but TWICE. Most recently Dani at Mousai Books, but also back in FEBRUARY I was tagged by Jayati at It’s Just a Coffee Addicted Bibliophile. Worse, it appears I *never actually thanked her*

SO. Jayati, THANK YOU FOR NOMINATING ME!!!! I am sorry for not thanking you, usually I’m not such a spaz. (That’s a lie, I’m just a complete mess right now. Blame grad school.)

The rules are pretty simple, thank the person who nominated you (check), nominate fifteen people (holy smokes!) and tell everyone seven things about yourself (yikes).

In addition to being an out of this world blogger, she is a really good friend, and a passionate library enthusiast. If you’ve never been to her blog you absolutely MUST. Go!

Also, that quote! Is it just me or is it a little awkward? The original quote is “Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.” So… am I missing? lol. If you get a nomination it’s not one of those backhanded compliments, I promise.

The Awesome Blogger Award!

First off, a huge thank you to Samantha at Modern Witch’s Bookshelf for this nomination. (Samantha, do you by chance go by Sam? I call you Sam in my head…) She has been SO FREAKING ENCOURAGING about my blog several times this summer, even calling me her favorite blogger a couple of times. *squeals* I can’t tell you how much that means to me. There’s too much of why to get into it, but that kind of positive feedback doesn’t happen to me much, and I appreciate it.

The funny thing is, she’s one of my favorite bloggers too (not that I get as much time to read everyone else’s blogs with 2 kids…), which seems to really boggle her. I’m not sure why, we’ve been blogging about the same length of time, and she’s just as awesome as I am. If you’ve never checked out Modern Witch’s Bookshelf, you need to do that right now. Go.

One Lovely Blog Award – Music Edition

Lovely is such a nice word. It’s always been a favorite of mine, but I always feel awkward using it in a modern context, so it doesn’t show up much in my writing. But since I love the word so much, I was happy to see a nomination from ReadRantRock&Roll calling mine a “lovely blog”.

Mischenko presented her award in a “Music Edition” format. Well, since I love music as much as I love books, I thought I would stick with that. Plus, it gives me an excuse to admit some silly musical things about myself that I’ve been trying to work into posts for a while now. Win-win!

Mystery Blogger Award

I’ve been nominated for this award two or three times. The first time was a million years ago (I THINK by Vrinda at A Bookish Human?). I didn’t do the award because I was a bit confused. I don’t actually review very many mysteries here. So I didn’t feel like receiving a mystery blogger award was something I aught to be bragging about. Also, I was so new here that I didn’t really know who to nominate. More recently Dawlyn and Krista at Little Blind Book Finds nominated me, and I don’t think after reading their post that you necessarily have to post mystery reviews. I’m still a LITTLE confused, but I’m going for it anyway.

The Blogger Recognition Award is an award given out by other bloggers. (Because all the other awards aren’t??) (To be honest I’m still trying to figure out blog awards. They seem similar in every way to tags…) But this is a nice way to be recognized as I know my blog is currently followed almost exclusively by other bloggers. It’s nice to know I’m not putting anyone to sleep!

(Seriously though, I really do hope I make an impact, because I am lying when I say I write just for me!)
